Last night we picked a winner for our granny photo caption contest. There was a lot of laughing, a lot of cluelessness, and even some repulsiveness. Some of you people are sick! All in all it was a lot of laughs.
Know what else is funny? "Its always Sunny in Philadelphia" The show is basicly documenting how the philadelphians live...hint hint jim and brian. So check it out on FX.
Tonight is IOTA! I'm about to go kick around on the drums now but I can't wait for tonight. I just got a new snare...its a Tama Starclassic copper snare and it sounds like bruce lee doing a double footed dragon kick down your throat! So come check it out.

Emerge Music Group!
Many people may not know this, but we have been one very small part of an awesome music scene called the Emerge Music Group.
They promote a new artist every week on their facebook page and have come out with 3 different compilation discs of upcoming artists. These discs are distributed to over 300 high school students in the area as well as college age and adult volunteers and staff.
We are very grateful to Ira Miller and Emerge Music Group for putting us on the past 2 Emerge Music Compilation CD's!
If you love new music that has yet to dissapoint any of us, get your weekly fix by checking out their page.

In other news...
We recorded a new song "Where you go" acoustic-style in our house. Look for that to come out sometime tonight or tomorrow morning on myspace!
This song and more will be in full Rock mode for our two big upcoming shows Iota and State Theatre!

VH Tryout
So many friends have hit me up this week about trying out for this "Open for Coldplay" contest with Elliot in the morning. So I've been digging around old footage trying to find some stuff to put together. I ran into some crazy stuff...Brian's finger surgery, us playin at KC's in Manassas, and then I found the special something that needs to be shared with you...vh's tryout video!!! Unfortunately I forgot to turn the camera mic on so there is no audio on the tape. The man definitely laid it down that day and now he's family but it was fun to remember a year ago. Here's a still from the video.

Badabing!
Badabing is a mobster word that means something like, "it's easy, it's done, peace of cake, that's it"
On the trip to Philly many new slang words were invented to cover the numerous gaps in our language. I managed to forget them all!
Anytime you've got a new word that you think is worthy of public use, hit us up with it on myspace and we'll evaluate. If it makes sense or better yet doesn't make any sense at all, I'll be the first to make it part of my vocabulary.
Badabing badaboom!
Had Practice tonight, two more new songs almost ready for live performance...State Theatre could be the drop zone!
...DO YOU HAVE YOUR STATE TICKETS?

Alright BJ Fanale you may have one this battle...but not the war! I can't believe he found that picture.
I hope everyone is having a fine fine week. I know Mine's been great! Jersey was tight last weekend. Don't believe the hype, it's not all smelly and dirty. I think that initial border crossing is where they pump all the stench, but once we got out by the shore it was pretty nice. Those Status Green kids did lay down some dirty tunes that reeked of rock and the horn section stunk of funk too! If you've never been there, be careful, the roads are one way! First turn I make I start seeing all these headlights! I Had to pop big boy in reverse and pull some dukes of hazzard getaway action! He always comes through in the clutch.
I'm so amped about this month! Friday is Fairfax Fair with Ok Go, Saturday TT's, next weekend philly, then STATE THEATRE at the end of the month! We've got new shirts for that show and some new tunes, not to mention one brand new one and some old surprises. I hope everyone gets tickets. The Twins set up a paypal account on myspace if you still need to get them.
Watch out for bears!

Van Story
Whats up people! In case you don't know about our trip to VA Beach last weekend, it was awesome. The van did not make it down though.
In Newport News, VA Big Boy (the van) threw a fan blade through the water pump, the radiator, and the fan shroud. He completely over heated and was throwing up all kinds of gnarly bilous liquid all over 64 East. We had to get him towed out of there fast.
A huge thanks to Amber's sister and my brother Andy, who live down there, for helping us get our gear and our butts down to VA Beach in time.
The show was an ass kicker! Gasoline, Push/Johnson (two collaborating bands that rocked), and of course our new friends Seven Ten Oil couldn't have been more hospitable or have rocked any harder in their home town. Definitely a passion for local music at Tonic's that night. A huge thanks to all of those bands. Seven Ten Oil even hired the most meticulous sound crew ever out of there own pockets just to be sure that the sound was pumpin right.
Jim, Brian, Andrew and Amber took my jeep back to NOVA that night after a fine meal of Denny's Slamburgers. I got to hang out with my bro and his friends at his new house on the lake for the weekend while Big Boy got put back together. He's running like a Champ!
We're playin in the District tonight and I can't wait. We're hitting another wave right now with new songs, partnering with great bands, and so much support from friends, family, and people we don't even know that just dig the music! So thank you to all and come rock out with us tonight!

Trip to NY
The van broke down. We got it running and got on this covered double bridge into philly and it broke again. So we put it in neutral and cruised down the other side of the bridge with no power steering and barely any brakes. We made it down the first exit ramped and I slammed on the brakes which made it slowly but surely slow down. Then a police car rammed us from behind and pushed us to the shoulder. Then, what do you know? The van started up. We tried to find a gas station but the van crapped out on this one way street in philly. Finally triple a came and towed us to a gas station. We rented a van, got to NY and unloaded at the club as the band before us was halfway through their last song. Played the set and finally took a deep breath. It sounds like not fun but all that crap made it really fun. Thanks to Shaena for coming to help us jump the van. Amber was a great morale manager too. Check out one of the live tracks from the gig at Arlene's grocery on our myspace. Its a new one.

Chef Brian
As usual its another rough day in the life of a drummer. I just finished a fine bacon egg and bagel breakfast made by my professional chef, Brian Fanale. Of course I had to get up earlier than usual today... It started snowing and I figured I'd get up at 11am instead of the noon standard. A little myspacing, jammin, recording, and eating to go and it will be time to get my beauty rest again. Hope everyone is enjoying the snow. I wish I had some free time to appreciate it!

New Blah!
The new site is sweet! I can talk about what ever I want whenever I want. We just wrote a new song at practice tonight and I can't get it out of my head. I can't wait til its all polished and we can break it out at a show to get everyone's thoughts. I'm still friggin stuffed like a turkey from thanksgiving. mmm... turkey and stuffing and potatoes and sauce and gravy and so much other good food. Work out regimens begin tomorrow. Hope everyone's thanksgiving was as good as mine. Gobble gobble.
